Reach your machines from anywhere.

Threadknot already works without an account: your machines find each other on the LAN and your phone drives them over it. The relay is for when the phone is not on the LAN. Each machine gets a stable public HTTPS hostname, and its own Threadknot decides what any device is allowed to do — exactly as it does at home.

• Your machine dials out. Nothing is exposed inbound, no port is forwarded, and the connector only ever forwards to Threadknot’s own loopback port on that machine.
• The relay terminates TLS, so the operator can technically inspect traffic. That is the honest description of the design, not a disclaimer. Nothing from the stream is written to disk: metering is byte counters and connection metadata. Content capture is not implemented anywhere in the path.
• Authorization stays on your machine. Signing in here gets you this dashboard. It does not get you, or anyone holding your session, a shell on a machine — devices carry their own capability-scoped credentials issued by the machine itself.
• $15 a month or $150 a year, up to 25 devices, 500 GB a month of fair use. Over the ceiling, traffic is throttled — never billed as overage, never disconnected. 14-day trial, no free tier.

The local mesh stays complete and free. The relay adds one thing: an address that works when you are not on the same network.
